The latest clip of my new project, metonymi. A creative arts workshop I am directing that involves 4 American artists, and 8 people between the ages of 16-25 with disabilities in Reykjavik, Iceland. In this clip, my lovely collaborator Christine arrives to Iceland from LA, and we begin to write the music for our film with the very lovely Icelandic musician Sóley. You can learn more about the project at www.metonymi.com.
Hello.
I am now going to share my experiences as an artist and person more on this blog. I think it is best to do so. I started this blog a couple of years ago, after a couple of my artist friends (one a dancer, another a graphic designer) suggested I start a blog where I collect things that inspire me. So I am back at it - last year as a crazy time at school, and there was just no time. But now I am going to get it started up again.
Sam Szabo (my frequent collaborator/BFF) and I have been wanting to make a piece about Fred and Ginger. We found ourselves in the Crystal Ballroom of the Biltmore Hotel last night - wandering in darkness amongst the ghosts of old Hollywood. Perhaps we will make a performance for this space in the future. We will see. We hope we hope.
